The Winged Liberty Head Dime, or Mercury Dime as most now know it, is an iconic piece highly sought after by collectors. Designed by sculptor Adolph A. Weinman in 1916 during a competition to replace the Barber Dime, Quarter, and Half Dollar. Weinman also won the bid for his Walking Liberty Half Dollar design and created two of the most beloved coins in US Mint history.

One look, and it is easy to see why so many confused Liberty with the Roman messenger god Mercury. The obverse of the Mercury Dime features a bold design of young Liberty wearing a winged cap, with inscriptions LIBERTY, the year of issue, and IN GOD WE TRUST. The reverse of the Mercury Dime displays fasces surrounded by an olive branch signifying both unity and peace. The reverse also includes the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and ONE DIME.

For each $1 FV ordered, you will receive ten (10) 90% Silver Mercury Dimes dated between 1916 and 1945. Each $1 FV of 90% Silver Mercury Dimes is equivalent to 0.715 troy oz of pure silver. The coins will arrive in circulated condition and may exhibit signs of handling and wear.
